Talula's Table with a few Berserkers - Late Summer menu: Another wine that suffered somewhat due to the wine poured along with it. Surprisingly, the Cameron Abbey Ridge out Chablis-ed this one. Where that was full of minerality, saline and flint, this was reticent and understated. Hints of mineral and a light nutty character. Soft and subdued.

A bit reticent at first, but ultimately unfolds to reveal a beautiful profile of lemon curd and river rock, with only a whisper of more exotic fruit on the lingering finish; almost creamy in texture but crystal clean with plenty of lifting acidity and nary a pox of premox; extremely enjoyable wine in a low key style. Loved this one.

Tasted August 12, 2008. Purchased for $48.00 for a 375ml from a restaurant list.
Notes from memory. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Light nose of wet stones, sea foam and a mix of yellow fruits. Flavors of pears, lime, lychee and a good minerally base. Medium acidity, light to medium body. Drink over the short term.

crisp, almost austere citrus nose; pineapple/citrus flavor with nice acid and long finish
