  • This typically wouldn’t be my style, but is good. Have always liked the spice and bramble I’ve gotten from this vineyard, and this version is spot on with ripe red cherries, cola, allspice, and a certain ‘twiggyness’. Tastes young.

  • A wine as outspoken as the vineyard grower with ample teaberry, cloves, cola, deep black cherry and Dr. Pepper. Drink up since the tannins are fully resolved. The acidity remains sharp. This wine stands up well with the duck and (very slight) BBQ sauce on the pizza. Something smokey on the finish makes it an excellent accompaniment to the duck. A heavy cloud of coats the side of the bottle. 14.8% alc. With leftover Thanksgiving smoked duck made into a pizza and cranberries. Recommended.

  • Since I just pulled one in the past few weeks, I didn’t take notes on this one other than to say, we very much enjoyed this bottle.

  • This is one of the best showings of Cargasacchi Pinot I’ve every had. Loring red - that’s a good thing. Loads of teaberry, cloves, cola, cherry and Dr. Pepper. As I’ve said before, “The palate extracts each and every element of those flavors with distinctness and precision. Big, black cherry joins in. The tannins are fully resolved, but the acidity is sharp. As the wine opens, something herbal (celery?) joins in. There is nothing shy about this wine. It’s wide open from the twist of the top to the final drop.” Particles of sediment along with a cloud coating sediment skin on the bottle. 14.8% alc. With (beef) london broil. Excellent pairing; we enjoyed this quite a lot. Recommended.
