  • Deeply perfumed with black cherry, balsamic, cloves, earth, vanilla, and something herbal. The flavors are linear without deepening or changing all that much as the wine opens. Good length on the finish. Fully integrated tannins. Considerable sediment in the final pours. 14.7% alc. With roasted salmon under a mustard crust. 11.03.22. Recommended.

  • I opened the 2009 to sit and listen to Deneen, Marnie and Lynne chatter in the aftermath of Deneen telling them we bought a house. It’s a nice cocktail that goes down easy. It really hasn’t changed in the past year, delivering sweet black cherry, cola, lavender, and cloves. It definitely packs a sweetness, but isn’t cloying at all. A very balanced wine. Some sediment. The 2010, meanwhile beats out the tasty 2009 with its greater complexity and depth. It also shows a little bit brighter. Similar to the 2009 in flavor its profile is more clove and teaberry, cola segueing to Dr. Pepper, cherry and plum. Both wines clock in at 14.7% alc. We finished the bottle of the 2009 with the roasted pork tenderloin and then opened the 2019 to continue dinner. 09.17.20. Recommended.

  • Sweet black cherry, cola, lavender, and cloves exude from the nose and palate. There is a richness - a sweetness- without anything overdone. The balance of fruit, tannins and acidity deliver an oddly non-Loringesque result. So often Loring Pinot is about the fruit, but while the fruit shines, it does not do so at the expense of any other component. Some serious sediment. 14.7% alc. With salmon in cannelloni beans and tomatoes. Recommended.

  • Opened for 1 hour and served @ 63 F. in Riedel Burgundy Vinum Stems. Dense and very extracted .. nice hearbaceous cherries and sage, very fruit forward New World style, medium plus bodied, medium acid good balance ...... This wine took 3 hours to reach it's potential. The last glass was what I would base this note on.. Outstanding

  • Light weight, medium bodied, and transparent enough to be so quaffable despite its laser intense raspberry, strawberry, and cocoa bean. Complicated by hints of mint, underbrush, and pine. Plus one for personality.
