Another great older Eyrie; the nose showed some caramel and petrichor initially, but then with air became more fruit driven and had very bright red fruits and some sweet baking spice. The fruit was incredibly fresh for a 39 year old wine! The palate was fresh and while it didn't have the density on the mid palate that the best Burgundy does, it was still delicious and a pretty special bottle.
