With Émotion, he proves he can fiddle as well, and it can be just as pretty. Ripe apple, hints of almond and mineral notes are balanced by a delicate acidity. It is refreshing to see that the fabled Burgundian fields of Puligny and Meursault, perhaps the apogee of chardonnay, can produce such a complex yet laid-back wine.
