  • BYO Xmas (Admiralgade): An amazing and "airy" wine which have just evolved to something beautiful. Clean and pure. Just beautiful!

  • VERTICALE VALENTINI (UNIVERSITA' POLLENZO): Condizioni strabilianti di conservazione e di giovinezza scalpitante.

Attacco etereo, poi cuoio, pellame e funghi porcini.
    Molto buono

  • This was a very special birthday wine. From a bottle in excellent condition, the cork was well seated and only soaked about 1/3 up. Dense, black, impenetrable wine. Very closed initially ( shoulder pour), the bottle was allowed to breath for 2 hours and then decanted about 1 1/2 hours prior to dinner. This wine was robust yet elegant. The nose was difficult to describe - it had hints Bordeaux and old California , but not really like either. The fruit was too dense for Sangiovese. I tried to think what I would have guessed had I tasted it blind, but I could not come up with an adequate comparison. Black fruit, unique floral quality and some spice. Unfolding beautifully through the meal and superb to the last dusty grain of the dregs left in the bottle after decanting. We considered eating the bottle. Delicious, full bodied wine that was perfect with our family timpano (see the movie "Big Night"). Wasserman reports that there were only 4200 bottles produced and we were very fortunate and grateful to try one. Certainly no hurry if this bottle is representative, but it is superb now with enough air. Truly one of my favorite wines and wine experiences.
