On a fair late summer evening in Kelsterbach, with a surprise menu. Faint herbal nose with some alcohol and red fruit. On the palate a light sour cherry and plum, acid and tannin, a tasty Barolo after opening. Some time in the decanter has smoothed out the tannins and brought out the cherry and plum, less tart now after 30 min.

Still lots of time for this one - first bottle. Tannins pronounced, receded with decant, slightly dusty dried cherry fruit, wood, underbrush. Nice, but a bit tight. Wait a couple more years.

Smells like dusty dried cherries. Opening up nicely. Flavor like a longer finish, deeper bodied Pinot Noir. Yummy! Still going strong
