  • Beautiful strawberry and earthy mushrooom flavors. Bright red fruit. Superfine tannins and nice fresh acidity. Lovely.

  • Medium garnet core. Oak and bright cherry on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied, balanced acidity, with mostly resolved tannins. I like this much better than the last bottle, as the fruit (mostly bright cherry, mirroring the nose) seems less muted. Still seems very young, with a good structure. While I don't find this wine to represent particularly good value for money, it might improve, given more time. I'll never know, however, as this is my last bottle.

  • Medium garnet core. Slightly volatile nose, not showing much fruit. Dry, high (but balanced) acidity, with some tannic bitterness on the finish. While the wine has excellent structure, I am struggling to find much fruit, other than a modest amount of tart cherry. The finish evokes a first flush Darjeeling. The wine does not seem tired or old, and may yet develop more interesting secondary and tertiary notes in time. For now, however, it is not particularly chatty.

  • Popped and poured. This is a light ruby wine that moves to almost clear at the rim. There is some minimal sediment at the end of the bottle. On the nose, I get cherry, balsam wood, saline elements, and some flint -- this is somewhat like a Pinot/Brunello cross on the nose. In the mouth, the wine is lush and spicy, with light red fruits and a slightly sappy element. The finish is rich -- one that unfolds and lingers over time -- with no noticeable tannin. Overall, this is very solid and ready now. 92 points.

  • nose - turned earth, a sweet manure type smell if such a thing exists. coffee, roasted chestnut. A complex and perfumed nose that screams out Burgundy
mouth - delicate in the mouth, displaying an exotic potpurri of light red fruits with a fine sweetness. good acidity on the surprisingly tannic finish closing with some spice notes. A very elegant wine.
