Cherry, smoke, crushed rock, quartz on the nose. On the palate, concentrated red fruits, flowers, Turkish delight?!, medium - bodied, high acid. This is very refined but lacking either/or the complexity/deliciousness to make you want to keep coming back.

A birthday celebration at Wimborne. Drank from decanter over 1+ hour. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of red florals, saline minerality, red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of light toast oak, smoke, saline minerality, red cherries, sweet spices. Long finish. Very good quality. Lovely nose already. Just a few more years for the oak to fully integrate and then this will be in the zone.

Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Expressive nose displaying bright red fruit, strawberry concentrated, raspberry, cherry compote, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, finely layered sweet red fruit, round and warm yet silky and polished, good acidity and mineral, very fine tannins and a medium to long sweet red fruit driven finish. Nice showing.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Red and black cherry with meat hints. Good balance already, good weight. This should also drink well young, 2023 forward.
