  Developed golden yellow color. Waxy and seductive aromas with smoke, vanilla and exotic fruits, and which reminded more of a Chenin Blanc than a Riesling. Opulent and smooth on the palate. A bit short, maybe.

  Aromatic, with minerals, apricot, spices and botrytis on the nose. Big, fruity and structured, but with an with oily texture. The wine stands the 13.5 % alcohol without any problems. Good concentration.

  I got aged lemons, vanilla-mandarin fragrances, some smoke and hints of the “beloved” detergent (which vanished after a while) I previously mentioned. The taste got some austerity as well. This time by far more balanced. I got some flinty bitterness, some smoke and hard earthy mineral character. The fruitful character appeared to be far better adjusted. In the centre I fetched beautiful creamy lemon flavours and hints of the vanilla-flowery-mandarin impressions. Very nice, complex, but challenging piece of Riesling!
