  • Tasted at Brix wine bar. Nose: Expressive scents of eucalyptus, spice - cinnamon, and red fruit - pomegranate and cranberry. Palate: Medium bodied, minty and spicy - Listerine (in a good way), dark red fruit - pomegranate and black cherry. Finish: Lengthy sense of spicy red fruits. A very interesting wine.

  • A juicy, open, amiable blend of 56% shiraz and 44% cabernet sauvignon exudes ripe blackberry, cherry and cranberry fruit that's tied with a ribbon of smoke, roasted thyme, meat and a tincture of coffee. The 14.5% alcohol is well poised against the silky texture. At $15 retail, it provides a great value, but it certainly doesn't have the stuffing for aging. Drink now until 2012.

  • Aromas of tar and plum then on the palate a rich combination of Ripe blackberry and plum enhanced by a bit of earthiness. Full bodied and quite delicious. Very much in balance.
