  • Great starter to the evening. Nice grapefruit tones and acidity.

  • Pale straw with clear rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of pears and orange peel. Light-bodied on the palate, with crisp acidity and flavors in line with the nose. The middle is solid and shows the fruit flavors of the nose, with the complimentary addition of a touch of grassiness. The finish is medium in length and quite crisp. This, as are so many of the Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand, is a great food wine. It is accordingly "in the pack". That said, it does not stand out (but is certainly good in this price range). Drink now-12/11.
