Very delicate nose of cherry, strawberry and tilled soil. I thought this was a very nice surprise with very pure and rich fruit that comes across in a very sexy manner. Very nice bottle of pinot noir.

Blinds with Kirk and Tooch (Portland, ME): RED 4 Medium+ garnet. Nose: warm, graham crackery, earthy soil. Palate: medium- body, medium acid, medium finish. Heavier than I'd think for pinot. I don't get much fruit.

Overall: A nice Pinot Noir with good acidity and fruit balance...however, this did not scream of Gevrey-Chambertin to me. I should add that I really enjoyed this wine...but as far as having a sense of place for me it was missing the funk and distinctive notes that I have come to expect from wines in G-C.

In very good condition, pleasant nose of red and blue fruit and a little spice, medium intensity palate of fruit with some earthy undergrowth, balanced acidity and soft tannins. Medium finish and soft texture. It started to fade after being open for 2.5hrs. An excellent example of a 'Villages", very enjoyable. At peak, drink now. I have noticed recently, having drunk various 2001 red Burgundies, that they share similar characteristics: They are not the most intensely flavoured wines, but they are well balanced, and seem to be drinking very well right now.

this took a while to open up, but it became a lovely and perfumed bottle. Medium weight and with blend of red and blue fruit, understated on the middle palate. Good balance and moderate finish. Doubt this will improve further, so no reason to wait on this.
