The first vintage of Florence Heresztyn and just so well-made. It is improving each year and now at 10 years, it still has the clear bright fruit mostly in the darker end of the spectrum being true to the 2012-vintage. Tannins have softened with age. An enjoyable village-wine now that I think could even continue to improve with age as it gets more tertiary flavours..

PNP and much more fruit than I would expect. No doubt a Gevrey with a good dose of rustic flavor. This is in a drinking window for sure. Tannins are tame. Very enjoyable.

I have had my fair share of this wine from different vintages (02, 09 and 12) and it always disappoints a little. So... maybe I should stop buying (their white generic Burgundy is terrific)? The nose is better than the palate with tertiary notes of underbrush and cherry fruit, the palate is a bit one dimensional lacking some brightness and complexity. 87-88

Still on the young side but I like how this wine is developing and it is actually at a good spot already with its ample clear fruit and with a fine and delicate balance. I like it!

Burgundy dinner for friends: Textbook Gevrey. Obvious coffee notes on the nose. Smoky, dark red fruit with some earth and iron notes on the palate.
