Light burgundy - in fact, not much more than nice translucent dark red. On the nose, on the one hand tight and closed, on the other intense berry fruits. A hint, but no more, of damp earth, perhaps a little dustiness; a little spirity too. Earthy berry fruits in the mouth - raspberries, blueberries and blackberries: simultaneously dry and intensely juicy. The juiciness seemed to gain precedence over structure over the course of the bottle. In summary, classy and bold, and probably at its best.

A lovely snapshot of the vintage. Classy, elegant, slightly lean in the mouthfeel. Beautiful pale Burgundian red with a nose full of black cherry and raspberry along with ashes, iron oxide, dried leaves, and allspice. The middle palate is a delight, but does lack that big generousity Gevrey Chambertin can offer when it's really good stuff. Acidity and tannins sufficient, but this starts to die in the glass after about an hour. Best to PnP and consume gradually.

Entering the drinking window - ready but can be kept another year or two. For me, it was best after breathing for 1 - 1.5 hours. Works well with a steak. If drinking in 2013, I'd recommend matching with hearty food. regarding the flavour/aroma profile, see Bryan107's comments (spot on).

Fresh red fruit dominates: strawberry, redcurrant, red cherry, cranberry with hint of plum, citrus, grapefruit peel, and bit of earth and wood. medium finish with redcurrant and raspberry. Nice balanced and good+ quality. still developing but can be drink now.

quite deep red with hint of purple rim. Inviting red fruit (redcurrant) nose with hint of spice. Raspberry, cherry and soft tannin, fullish on palate. gentle acidity and slight sweetness in good balance. Finish with a dollop of spice, tinling acidity, silky tannin and bitter chocolate, good length, lingering earth and mushrooms in vinegar. Really quite good villages, needs food. might improve with 2/3 years. Quite good value.
