Deep mahogany with definite brownish hue - beautiful nose offers antique wood, sandalwood, cherry preserves, slightly oxidized red fruits - entrancing - smooth, balanced palate has more fruit than the nose - dried strawberries, earthy tones then there are tannins that cinch up on the finish - perfect w food, less so without - good but not great length - might go a few more years but I'd err on the side of sooner than later.

Elegant nose of dark fruit and anise. Beautiful balance. Good intense dark cherry/raspberry flavor and long elegant finish. Probably peaking in the next year or two.

Still same jammy first impression. A slight downgrade in rating, but it may have been caused more by the pairing of food (scallops/tilapia with tarragon cream sauce).

Very jammy right out of the bottle but complexity increased over the next few hours. Intense flavor with some pepper backbone. Drank with nut loaf with roasted red pepper sauce and carmelized brussels sprouts. Really brought out the flavors in the food.

Nice bottle of wine. Nice brickish color, still retains some ruby. All in all still youthful, which is nice for an affordable 10y/o bottle of brunello. Great traditional sangiovese character. Simple, but really quite good.
