Lagerung in Geisenheim im Nebenraum. Tolle Nase! 100% Nebbiolo. Anfangs pefekt gereift, dunkler und rote Früchte. Länge, Tiefe, gut! Toller Wein! Bald trinken!

Lovely silky smooth with hints of rose and tar on the nose. A real bargain as I bought it in Italy a few years ago and this was my last bottle of Nino Negri wines.

A step up in comparison with the 2005. Riper fruit, more structure. Medium-high acidity. Quite oaky on the nose, taking over a bit the fruit unfortunately. Fruit des bois, spicies and oak on a palate. Leave a warm feeling (alcohol?) Not really the elegance I was expecting, but a nice modern wine.

Still quite oaky, with sweet spice & vanilla fudge, and sweet red berries - bit like an "active-winemaking" burgundy. Nose and palate are in balance, and the development is nice, but the wine needs something to counter the spicy sweet oak, which is slightly cloying on its own, and a few slices of gruyère does it. And it's more enjoyable when you give in to the slick professional style. Guess we won't be buying any new vintages of these - there are more genuine examples of Valtellina nebbiolo to find, notably the ones from ArPePe.
