A tad disappointing after previous three (91pt) notes as seemed to lack enough grip to bring the wine into balance. Basic character in line with earlier observations. ?Bottle variance (screwcap). My last.

As per earlier note, will keep remaining bottle back till 2018 for final assessment. Really fine - but needs a decent 2-3hr+ decant to show at its best.

Changed character in the 18+ months since the last bottle. Two hour decant. Much more focussed fruit, particularly crunchy intense blackcurrant with a touch of spice and liquorice heat. Good acid spine balances the ripe fruit. Good length. No better or worse than my earlier note - just very different. Will be fascinating to see this wine's next turn! Plenty of time.

Decanted 90mins before consumption. Very ripe aroma of spiced cherries with cooked hedge fruits. Flavour of earthy but sweet apply and black fruit crumble with a strong backbone of fruit acid and smooth tannins holding the whole together. Idiosyncratic and fine. Very Australian. Approaching plateau with perhaps 5+ years ahead of it.... I remember playing a cricket match c.20yrs ago amongst CM's bush vines. The wine gets better (as does English cricket).
