Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of currants, berries, flowers and leather. Flavors of raspberries, red berries and strawberries. Medium to tart acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

solid GSM new world blend. a bit hot a first, but subsided some over the course of a hour or so. showing no signs of fading, could go for a few more years.

MUCH better than the last bottle drunk in 2012. This is still ripe, luscious, and fruit-forward (so much so than my wife, drinking blind, thought it might be a zinfandel before settling on a guess of Cali syrah). However, the weak mid-palate has filled in and the level of complexity has increased. Red cherry, baking spice, and very smooth/integrated tannins. Well balanced. Not a huge amount of complexity but it's just so much fun to drink... I had thought this was nearing the end of its drink window, but this still has several great years left before decline.
