  Translucent tawny-garnet. Classic Lindies Hunter River Burgundy, red fruits and earth, slightly musty. Medium bodied, soft mouthfeel, lovely sweet red fruit on the midpalate, touch of leather, licorice and Chinese medicine, refreshing, whisp of tannin, reasonable length. Still doing well for an "03" wine.
  
  The cork for this bottle was flawless, with no wine up the cork at all. Burgundy-shape bottle. 91.

  Decanted for 20 mins from cork. Translucent to the core but with no browning on the rim, the colour was garnet. On the nose is was all tertiary elements with gentle red berries and a little volatility. The palate was med body with well integrated tannins holding the delicate flavours together. Almost Pinot-esque in its red fruit and gentle mouth feel. A really lovely wine which while not overly complex was still intriguing and enjoyable.

  Semillon and Extras (Sydney, Australia): Smoky notes, leather, liquorice and redcurrant on the nose. Palate is well balanced with savoury character and restrained fruit still present. It is probably time to drink as I don't think it has the structure to get better.

  {cork} Quite a muddy red, with pungent, earthy spice flavours and a soft leathery character to the fruit. Spicy, peppered finish. Low tannins, medium weight, drink now I’d say.
