  • Drank 04/28/23. Rated at 88. Surprisingly vibrant for its age, this 1997 red Rhone blend (made from 88% Syrah, & 12% Viognier grapes) still carried plenty of fruits, aromas, acidity and soft tannins to enjoy the wine. Although it was past its prime, it was still drinkable as it was light to medium bodied, smooth, balanced and finished very nicely. Thoroughly enjoyed drinking this mature wine.

Drank another bottle on 11/12/23. Rated at 65. Unfortunately when opened, the wine was not recognizable to the wine I first tasted in 04/28/23. The fruits were hardly present, and the finish was significantly bitter.
