Ah, just lovely. Still relatively young; took a while to open in the glass. Remains very fruit-forward. Raspberry and cherry fruit, a touch of game, mineral, and brown spices. Lovely wild flowers with time in the glass. Very Gevrey-Chambertin, though the real strength and complexity lies in some of its subtleties still. Touch light on the palate but beautifully balanced and ever so drinkable.

Stewed fruit, mushroom and prunes on the nose and palate. Not as complex and intense as the 85 griotte on the side. But it grew in the glass with game, smoke, fig and black fruit. The 85 was a bit sharper and more precise on the fruit.

Drank side by side with the 89 Clos St Denis.....it does not get much better than this, to have the luxury to be able to drink these wines side by side.
This wine showed tremendous freshness and vivacity, while exhibiting classic secondary and tiertiary notes.....a testament to an outstanding producer. A Classic Ponsot....highly recommended!

Dusty nose. Not a lot of fruit on the palate. Enjoyable. Not especially griottes.

Started strong but went dry then mushroom. Touch too much oak? Not a great wine and not a good Price to quality ratio.
