Nice fresh red color. Clear and fruity and heavy nose of serious pinot. Hints of green herbs and sour berries. Just hints. Palate is good, balanced, relatively concentrated and with lots of pleasant but slightly acidic pinot-fruits. A bit sharp on the tip of my tongue and a bit drying on the finish, but this is just pocket lint. This is a good wine. But very young. Burguet always delivers, it seems.

Restrained nose showing black cherry, hoisin, savory dried herbs and some reduction. Very expressive palate with deep, moderately rich bing cherry fruit and perfect acidity. Kind of astonished at how silky the texture is here for a low level villages. Finishes savory and super dry. This is compulsively drinkable but also has an awful lot of Gevrey character. Alas, a second bottle a week later was much tighter.

Blind. Spicy nose, some volatility, herbal and slim, angular, high acid.

Ok vin, men vil tro at den enda behøver minst ett par år før den er på topp.

Alain Burguet 2008 Burgundy Tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): A dusty and savoury nose with bright cherry. The tannins are fine and the wine is powerful and racy yet still elegant to the finish.
