Another excellent Bisou vintage. This still has life left in it. Drinking very smooth right now. Can pop and pour and also stands up over several hours.

At Scott T after team offsite. Very big night, lots of wines and fantastic party.
First experience with this wine. Medium/translucent color, some signs of ageing. Fragrant nose, floral/violet. Palate was cherry, bright red and dark fruits, cedar, earth. Mid palate, caramel and currants. Elegant and unique wine, has the California fruit profile but in a restrained way. In its zone right now, doubt it will improve much.

Color showed its age with some amber edges surrounding a medium garnet hued, semi transparent wine. Pretty nose of currant, black olives and violets…very interesting. Palate had black cherry, cola, kirsch and caramel. Balance was spot on. What I liked most was its prettiness and elegance while retaining its medium structure and poise. Others at the table were saying it was closed and I certainly thought different. I got notes of cedar, earth and leather. A great showing of a classically crafted wine with a lot to give. Finish remained true to the black fruits. Glad to try it.

Nice medium dark nose; Palette of red/purple fruit; Initially had a single sharp angle (pop and pour); Opens up to a big fruited Cali standard
