Its really a unique and different nose, one which I really enjoyed. On the palate however this was harsh and unforgiving. At the same time impenetrable and palate crushing with seemingly 20% alcohol and an astringency. Quite port-like but also had a harshness that was more grappa like. Fun to try but not my thing.

  Other than Port, I have never experienced anything like this in wine. The nose is black lacquer and inky varnish. Liquorice and fennel. Have never had one of these and am finding it quite bizarre. Hard to believe this is a. correct, and b. 31-years-old.

Extraordinary finish that goes on and on, lingering in the mouth for what seemed like hours. decriptors here would really do no justice, certainly one of the most memorable wines i've ever tasted.
