Nose is dark berry and jam with hint of anise and spice, palette is surprisingly medium dry with a firm backbone and not jammy at all nice dark berry tones and smooth tannins

Old school meets New school in this style of Zinfandel. Big, ripe black fruit flavors melded with American oak. Smell blackberries, plum, caramel, vanilla, dill, and a hint of black licorice. Heavy mouth-feel, thick and rich on the palate. Low acidity and medium tannin profile, and finishes a little boozey but not enough to be a deterrent. Solid wine, great for simple grilling or as a stand alone.
