  • Opened and served. A beauty and a class act and so happy to have crossed paths with it. Still quite dark in colour. Slightly syrah-esque in style ( usually when xinomavro ages is becomes closer to ampinot noir) light touch of spice, light sweet ripe core. Well rounded and balanced and has aged very nicely. A class act from one of the best winemakers in Greece. 92-93

  • Ruby turning garnet. Wonderful concentrated nose, cherries, plums, tobacco, cedar, quince paste, Med herbs, raspberry n blackberry edge. Olives n tomatoes in the background. Later more meaty with bacon fat and astreak of chocolate. Medium body, great dusty tannins more integrated than a year before, medium+ acidity. Great length. Marvellous with life ahead...

  • (home tasting) 1 hour decant. Bright red color. Cranberry and cherry aromas, after a while the typical sundried tomato and green pepper with olive in the background. Very smooth and velvety tannins, fruits again, medium aftertaste. It is very burgundian in color and aromas, the most subtle and easy-to-drink xinomavro I have ever tasted, even slightly atypical. I cant tell if this can last in time but its a great wine for food now.

  • earth and faint currant nose; tart cranberry; sl thin mid palate to start, filling out over time; plenty of asian spice and cinnamon, reasonalble acidity and still tannic, tho not noticeable with food; distinctive, might have guessed nebbiolo; can be better with time

  • Red with pink orange rim. Very fragrant, red and black berries, earth, leather, woodland and later develops the typical tomatoes and olives than right through Xinomavro followed by bacon & game. Very smooth entry, velvet medium body. Tomatoes and olive paste followed by red fruits on the mid palate. Bright acid over bright young tannins. Very savoury and a fantastic food wine. A crying shame to drink so early but very moreish and more approachable than other Xinomavros of the same age. Wow. Should show great finesse as it ages, although difficult to keep my hands off it now!
