  • Powerful and smoky petrochemical nose with lines of concentrated citrus peel. Bold and broad, but very focused minerality and fine acid keep everything in balance. Finish is mouthwateringly delicious, but ends just a tad shorter than I'd like. South Aussie Riesling through and through.

  • Really nice at the moment. Chalky with a bit of lime juice and a nice petrol note running through it. Seems to have gained a bit of weight but still has enough acidity.

  • Bright nose of lime, petrol, and apples. Smooth entry with melon and green apple that fades into limey deliciousness. The finish pops with acidity; good length.

  • (Brunner: Queen's Bday slow-bbq with Mich&Bo, et al) Golden honey in the glass, with an interesting nose of seaspray, kerosene, and even abit of pee. Crisp acidity, faded citrus with a bit of zing. Congruent palate with a textural oiliness, and characteristic seaside gravel and shale-y minerality, very much reminiscent of a Loire white (Muscadet) I had with Paul at Quay last year. Complex, lean, and drinking very enjoyably! Slightly embarassed to have misidentified this again despite the second tasting. =/

  • (Fishmarkets with Mich & Bo, Terence and Lychee) Golden honey amber in the glass, betraying its age. Generous perfume, vanillin oak and white flowers. The taste is sweet, lemon liqour, unctious, oily, yet zesty and crisp, leading to a characteristic yuzu (pomelo) peel and grapefruit aftertaste. Complex, with layers of secondary petrol flavors emerging. Finish is minerally - pebbly, chalky and sandy. A beautifully integrated and balanced aged riesling. Special.
