Slight reduction, after aeration there is mainly red but also blue and black fruit, on the palate red fruit (raspberries), spices, herbal notes, incredible density and dry extract for a 2008 Burgundy. Wow!

I haven't been having a ton of luck with Tremblay's 2008s lately. The one common thread between them was the incredible sulphur notes on the nose. Give these air, or don't open them. Incredibly reductive at this point.
An excessibe [sic] balla [sic] afternoon at Domaine (Chicago, IL): This was a real interesting one. The nose was stemmy and there was a big whiff of oak, but in counterpoint to all that was some very pretty red fruit. The palate also had quite a bit of oak on it, but this was somehow very well-balanced at the same time. Quite good, but needs some time to smooth out the rough edges.

Red and blue fruit, higher density as the Mugneret Feusselottes wine of the same year drank side by side, salty, very good.

Fruit driven (relative to the 2011). Peppery spices at the end.
