  There was no sediment in the bottle after decanting. Garnet colored and quite transparent with medium legs, this wine smells like violet, plum and a touch of coffee. On the palate, aromas of strawberry, fennel and dark chocolate dominate the taste of this elegantly smooth and medium bodied vintage with its long finish. Seems to reach its pinnacle, but certainly has another ten years to stay on top.
