Reddish/granite in colour, needed decanting for some sediment. Overall I am very pleased with how this wine has developed. Dusty smooth tannins in the background. Vague cherry fruit/kirsch. Spices, tobacco and balsamic (not strong) making a showing with black tea on the finish. Very quiet and enjoyable wine.

Clean garnet color and clear rim. Musty dark fruit of cherries and berries with a hint of what I can only think of is super ripe pomegranate. Tannin's have a nice grip that isn't overbearing and acid that I had to wait to detect, but there. Fair amount of structure and fruit is not in your face. Slight tobacco/earth note that makes it interesting and enjoyable. Med. body, med. finish, very good qpr. WBA

Opened a bottle about a year ago. It was tighter than I would have liked and didn't yield anything even after a long decant. This was a completely different experience only a year later. Lovely Nebbiolo which was perfect for my classy Italian dinner of cheese pizza. The girls loved it, and that was worth an extra point.

At first it seemed very tight and closed, with a prominent tannic spine. But with time in the glass, it transforms. Florals, lovely delineating acidity, and tannins that carry the wine to a medium finish. It did the same transformation the following day as well. Drinking well now, and also could keep.

Was all black licorice and tar. Not pleasant … maybe oxidized a bit. No fruit or dried fruit. Definitely left too long in the cellar.
