  • Over-done Secondary Fermentation leaving this wine pretty "Flabby" Not enough acid to balance the fruit and Oak. Not a bad wine, but for $35 I'd expect something a little more balanced.

NOSE: pear; golden delicious apple; oak; crisp smelling, as if it wasn't put through malolactic fermentation.

    BODY: pale yellow; medium bodied

TASTE: geeez! incredibly oaky ... I really cannot perceive much of anything but oak; at a cooler-than-cellar temperature I get some acidity, somewhat similar to a NZ Sauvignon Blanc, but it's overpowered by the oak treatment; the palate is full (of oak) but the finish is short. Very disappointing ... reminds me quite a lot of the 2006 Justin - Chardonnay.
