  Some nice Burgundies (Chicago, IL): Leroy really does it for me -- it's this maddening perfume that is just absolutely incredible. Very ripe, but not for a second over the top. It's this really refined rusticity that no one else has ever managed to replicate. Hints of spice and earth on the nose, but it's more a story of just how expressive and intense the aromatics are. On the palate, this is again ripe, but not overwhelmingly so. Quite dark and earthy in complexion, but impeccably balanced as well. One of those rare bottles of Burgundy that actually does it for me.

  Charming and Feminine Aux Boudots of LEROY
  There's no weight of Great Vintage
  But, There are many Wow factors you expect from this producer.
  Drink Now, also Good for Cellaring.

  Wow for a 97, this had weight, floralness and sweetness. Very delicate and soft with perfume and sweet red fruit. Drinking beautifully at peak. Pleasant surprise.
