  • floral, fruit, and herbal teas and essences, dried stone fruits, dates, figs, carob and coco powder, light roast coffee beans, incense, spring and summer potpourri, pipe tobacco, loam, black earth, and mineral ores.

The wine tastes like it smells, delivered in inflection changing waves. Exceptional structure and balance. It holds form through a complex finish of mind-bending length.

Greater restraint and Old World appeal than the 2013 tasted alongside. Likely to hold form for five to seven years, perhaps ten. Drink by 2035-2038. 94-95.
