I don’t think it’s past its window today, but I won’t wait to drink the others I purchased.
This was dry, balanced, tart, and rich. Preference wise, we tend to like the chardonnays with more oak. But this was an equisite expression of California Chardonnay!

whether you like this wine or not depends on your tolerance for oak - there's a forest of it here. Not my style and (IMO) the wines age poorly. I would drink these wines young and cold. I have seen tasting notes using the term "Burgundian"; it is not that (at least the traditional pre-premox wines)

(at Magdalena – Baltimore) Another wonderful bottle of Kongsgaard Chardonnay – one of my favorite wines from California. This is big and rich with a nutty, caramel character that is beautifully balanced by zippy structure. I will drink up the remaining bottles soon as I don’t know how long it will remain this good. Deep golden color followed by a deep, rich, full California Chardonnay. Brown butter, wood and honeysuckle fruit on the nose. Full palate but surprisingly bright finish. Maybe missing a touch in the middle compared to the best vintages. A very good wine. (92)

Beautiful golden tinged color. Still retains some freshness despite being 11 years old. A well crafted wine.
