Time has done this well; tannins have soften and the oak has mellowed significantly; Day 1 pop and pour; nose of minerals, leather, dark fruits and spice; palate full of dark fruit, leather, and cassis; smooth and firm tannins, medium plus finish. Integrity holds over to Day 2.
Once Honig stopped using the Stagecoach Vineyard, the Bartolucci became my favorite of all the Honigs; definitely more complex than the appelation bottling and overall an enjoyment.

Might have left it too long to drink by 2022z but still a very good finish with scent of fruit/prune.

Needs a 45 min decant- medium plus bodied, good finish, in prime and unlikely to improve, good balance and should hold for 5 plus years. Average value

Decanted for an hour first. First impression- good and smooth but not fruit forward. Drank without food but bet it would go great with steak.
