What a wonderful wine. Pours to a ruby-purple color. Notes of dark berries and hints of spice and wood. Medium to fullbodied on the palate, with silky smooth tannins and pleasure filled in every sip. Complex, supple, elegant, and beguiling. 91 pts from WA was spot on. Recommended.

Dark intense purple color with a mild nose. On the palate, tart blueberry and boysenberry fruit, tobacco and tight tannins and structure. This wine is built to lay down for longer than a few years. I didn’t decant this wine and despite being open for two days, the wine remains stuck in the tight mode. I think this wine could show better down the road, how much longer? I don’t know, but l would prefer it to be more approachable within a shorter time window. The standard Napa Valley Cab, although not in over the top Cabernet, is a decent value.

Nose: Dark red fruit, good scent of ripe fruit, a slight green bell pepper and oak.
Palate: Dry, grippy tannins. Bright red fruit but the oak/wood taste (almost wood-sy and sour) is coming through too much. I think I understand what people mean when they say a wine is vegetal.
Opaque and dark ruby colored. Medium plus body with a decent finish of about 3-4 seconds but this finish lingers with the oak taste.. a minus for me. Might be biased here since oaky finishes don't really count for me. Seems to lack flavor but well made regardless. Probably a good wine for those who enjoy a dry and oaky wine, not my preference though. Kind of a let down for me..

Big wine dark brooding that opened up with oak blackberry and black fruits. Tannic, but accesible. Berns steakhouse tampa dinner.
