Nice, still drinking well with dark cherries with just a hint of some prunes/raisins developing. I'd say drink up on that account - but the tannins are still firm and very present. Maybe it'd still do well in a few years, but this is my last one. And an enjoyable one at that ...

Decent, and okay for price, but nothing special. Nose is muted (some dried cherry and French oak). Mid palate has some decent fruit. Finish is a little bit hot and woody, but not too bad. Acidity is moderate, and in balance. A decent food wine for pairing with tomato sauce.

Just got back from Tuscany, so feeling a bit curious to see how the stuff in my cellar compares to the stuff I had every day over there. I like this humble Rosso, but it STILL needs a bit more time to open. Second glass far better than first, with about two hours spacing between them.

Served with a meal built around a Tuscan beef stew. Opened about 2 hours before dinner, drank well with the meal.
