  • Youthful bottle with classic white Graves aromas of melon, grapefruit, stone and a touch of lanolin. A little austere but plenty of citrus and melon flavour with oak integrated into the background. Good weight and balance. Could take at least another decade of aging.

  • Nice waxy, citrus note on this - straw colour in the glass. In the mouth quite tarte, waxy lemon with a touch of flint. Reasonable complexity and length, although dont serve this too cold. Overall pretty good, although at £21 probably too expensive for what it is.

Re-visit: 2 hours later, and left to warm up this wine really got into its stride - much more complexity - it literally needed to be at room temperature to reveal notes of mushroom, delicate fruit and a touch a sweetness on the back palate. Very good. Maybe 21 quid was not such a bad deal after all.
