Concerning brownish golden color. Surprisingly clean aromas, however, of pear, honeysuckle and minerals. Ripe, fresh fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. While certainly at the end of its peak drinking period, this wine was delicious with my wife’s spicy Alaskan spotted prawns and did not decline during the course of the dinner.

Certainly not over oxidized, but definitely an oxidized character here. This one is definitely starting its descent down the hill, but is still pretty far up. The nose initially was showing some butter and cotton candy. But the wine still has medium weight peach and ripe pear notes. I was still getting this little cotton candy type of thing in the finish with a little bit of crushed rock. Very low acidity. Seemed actually quite delicate and still showed really good balance. Subtle, but actually showing quite well today.

My last bottle of a case bought about 4 years ago. Still lovely but time to start drinking up. Displaying more mature flavours now and definitely a darker golden colour too. Stood up well to BBQ Lamb with humus and tomato salad

Are all Kistler 2008 oxidized nowadays? The second in two days poured down the drain. Was very good a few years back.
