Despite the time elapsed, a crystalline Chablis with yellow-green tones. On the nose mature notes of flowers, white fruit and slate mineral predominate. Loire reminiscences. All that complexity is presented in an elegant and harmonious way. It still supports a medium-bodied structure with a decent length and a delicious bitter aftertaste. Great year, excellent producer and at its best. Nonetheless my outsider no more.

Almost a bit new world in style with rich, ripe tropical fruits with vanilla in the background, Droin's 2009 Mont de Millieu may not come across as a Chablis if tasted blind. Steely minerals and key lime pie show up on the finish.

Ripe and balanced, offering full pineapple and apple shadings with discreet oak. The biggest Chablis I've had, but its beautiful integration puts CA chardonnays to shame.

far better than previous bottle. had some exotic qualities but still had some good finishing acidity. none of the flabiness i associate with some 2009 chablis. really a great QPR.

Bad conditionning : 20 min in the freezer, then 30 min of decanting near the chimney. Nose simle with yeast and lemon, nothing very tremendous. Mouth surprising, fresh light, linear and long. A mineralic style but not to thick, very elegant. The end is lightly dry and bitter, but just a details in the global impression of quality. Very nice on mediterraneen oursins. Thanks to capt cutlass for this gift. Good potential.
