Very nice nose, good fruit but not over the top. very palatable. Drank with chicken parmaghana (tomato-basil sauce). The sauce and this wine paired excellently. A very good basic Chianti.

straight after the Brolio - touch sweeter fruit, mor epowdery tannins at front of palate (rather than back), much mor evolatile - which dominates - not bad for money but would prefer the Briolio and better to have this after something else

What you would expect from a $12 Chianti and not more. A pleasant drinker suitable for the In-Laws.
