Here is the most interesting part about this wine- it paired extremely well with butternut squash, in fact, much better than the pairing with bavette steak! The baking spices in the squash matched, and was delicious. Perfect if you enjoy old world but unique wines.

By the glass at Providence on NYE. Dark ruby colour. Medium red cherries with very nice earth leather, smooth but simple finish. Felt a little flat at times and could use more structure. Still, reminds me of a well made ripe ready-to-drink Bordeaux.
