Past peak. Typical Sauvignon Blanc notes faded, and did not develop a lot of tertiary notes Not so sure about the benefits of aging Sauvignon Blanc for 14 years…

Ultimate Parker in Singapore Mega-Tasting (The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore): Woah - this is an outstanding Sauvignon Blanc. This was world's apart from the basic Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely nose. First thing that struck me were the savoury, stony notes, and then some integrated oak, plenty of tropical fruit in the shape of magoes, grapefruits et al, some meadow herbs and then lots of smoky minerality. Tons of complexity here. Great palate too. Lovely roundness for such a young wine, very delicious, yet certainly no floozy. This had lots of textured earthy, minerally complexity to go along with its layered flavours of pear, grapefruit and mangoes. It was really rich, yet perfectly balanced with pitch perfect acidity. Finish was gloriously long as well - singing away with more tropical fruit and mineral. Wow.
