There was a time when I would have scored this higher, but it is just too much goopy fruit with little to no structure for my palate now. My buddy loved it, so it's definitely a style preference. Glad I had only bought one of these.

This was just a fabulous bottle. Three of us shared it and agreed. Served at 56 degrees, after airing 1 hr. Not a hint of briar was detected, but lush, softened tannins, deep dark fruit, rich mouth feel, and a long finish with warm spice aromas in the chest and nose. One person described it as chewy.
I thought the spices had a distinct coconut tone, but nobody else had that impression.
Unfortunately, I got this one bottle on closeout at Wegman's last year, when they discontinued about 1/3 of the labels they were stocking.
Perhaps the lesson is that this is a wine which needs a lot of time to reach peak!

Enjoyable medium bodied dark red fruit Zinfandel that's not overly jammy with decent balance. Not as hot as feared at 15.6% ALC.

Much more refined. Better balance of fruit and oak.
