Dark red beautiful robe and a nose that filled the kitchen upon decanting. Sun-drenched nose of soft plums, garrigue, raspberries and Grenache. In the mouth this is a full bodied boy with M tannin and M- acids. It is still young and has more to give. Very fine herbal spiciness tempering this wine's expression that is the quintessence of the aromas of La Garrigue. I prefer this to the 2010 we had yesterday because this reaches one notch higher on the complexity-scale. (Wife: 90p) At Le Message (Yokohama). Final btl in ~2018.

Suffering a severe cold. So: Chose one of the least promising bottles in the cellar. Absolutely no discernible nose (wish I could enjoy the cherries that I know are there). The palate, however, is vibrant and alive. Good acids to balance the vibrant fruit. Low on tannins. A strong attack with crescendo as you swallow, fades with haste. Rustic with a touch of controlled strength. Only very small "jamminess": more piquant than quaint. Saving half the bottle for ... Monday? Hope to be better able to at least smell it by then. Points are half wish and half guess. Next bottle in 2013

Dark garnet color. The nose is especially heavy on Mourvedre, so it smells of dark chocolate covered cherries. Not really to my taste. Chewy and chunky on the palate, the taste follows the nose. If you like the style, the wine is hedonistic with plenty of personality; I'm not a fan. 5-10-11-6: 82/100.

Didn't age as well as expected. Plummy, sweet fruit. Alchol high but well integrated. Too one dimensiona.l
