  A consistently good value year after year. The ‚2016 GR-174 Vi de Gran Recorregut’ is sourced from different vineyard plots (red and black slate soils) along the long-distance hiking trail that crosses the Priorat region (Sender del Priorat GR-174 / 72 km / province of Tarragona). This is the entry-level wine of the estate, an assemblage of 30 % Grenache, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 % Syrah, 12 % Samsó (Carinyena), 9 % Merlot and 3 % Cabernet Franc ; aged for five months partly in barriques, partly in stainless steel tanks. Dark purple-red in color and an intense bouquet of fresh red fruits, cassis, sandalwood, white pepper and some earthy tones. The palate reveals a beautifully balanced wine with luscious plum and bramble fruit, sweet spices, a serious structure and silky tannins. Long and pleasant aftertaste with a slight balsamic touch. Drinking very well now and cellarable until 2021–2022. A whole lot of wine for the money.
  
  Jaar na jaar van constant hoge kwaliteit. De 'GR-174 Vi de Gran Recorregut 2016' is afkomstig van verschillende percelen (rode en zwarte leisteenbodems) langsheen de wandelroute GR-174 die gans de Priorat-appellatie doorkruist (Sender del Priorat / 72 km / provincie Tarragona). Dit is de instap- wijn van het wijngoed, een assemblage van 30 % Grenache, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 % Syrah, 12 % Samsó (Carinyena), 9 % Merlot en 3 % Cabernet Franc ; hij kreeg een rijping van vijf maanden mee, deels in barriques, deels in roestvrij stalen tanks. Donker paarsrood van kleur en een intens bouquet van vers rood fruit, cassis, sandelhout, witte peper en wat aardse nuances. In de mond: een mooi uitgebalanceerde wijn vol weelderig pruimen- en bramenfruit, zachte kruiden, met een deftige structuur en fluwelige tannines. Lange, aangename afdronk met een lichte balsamische toets. De wijn is nu al perfect op dronk, maar gaat zeker nog tot 2021–2022 mee. Heel veel wijn voor uw geld.

  Intenso, con mucha fruta madura pero no exento de frescura. Ligeros tostados. En boca entra bien, pasa fluido, con mucha fruta, cierta cremosidad, buena acidez y bastante persistencia. Sencillo pero muy bien perfilado. De trago largo.
