Drinking very well at 15 years of age. From a .375 which I pnp'd. The nose was fruit and mocha. The palate was berries, dark plums, coffee and a hint of tobacco leading to a finish of moderate length

Deep ruby, unfiltered Aromatics medium. Plum, dark chocolate, eucalyptus Palate has full body. Acidity medium. Tannins medium +, somewhat sandy on gums. Alcohol medium +. Black plums, cocoa, and pine resin. Finish has medium length. Balance towards the fruit/alcohol suggestive of New world, but everything seems well integrated and aged perfectly Drink now

Somewhar murky prune color in the glass. Small nose of some earthiness. Light flavors of dried dark fruit on entry. Still some pretty serious tannin. A GIANT Merlot; My kinda wine.

This was a flat out stud and reminded me of a Saint-Emilion Claret. Deep, penetrating, and bountiful notes of chocolate-covered cherries, cherry liqueur, eucalyptus, forest floor, and exotic spices show bottle age complexity, mineral energy, and a powerful frame. Structured, resonant, and engaging, it tightens up on the long, crushed rock finish. Gorgeous and it filled in nicely for the flawed 1987 Chateau Clarke.

Yum! On the down side but still strong and delicious; just enough acid to keep it balanced - don't sleep on this, drink up and enjoy!
