Raveneau MdT and Chapelot (Chicago, IL): Ugh, this is so good. Like the 2014, this is pure mineral extract, with the same intensity and chewy density that its younger sibling had. But what stands out here is the very 2008 hint of botrytis. And while in general I'm not particularly keen on noble rot in my chardonnay, that hint here, coupled with all the mineral extract works fantastically well. Complex, layered, and chiselled. What a wine.

Decanted for 2 hours. This has developed into a beautiful wine. Pale yellow color. Nose of honey, oyster shells, and lemon. Crisp, tightly delineated palate, chalky and dry with a lovely texture and deep citrus infused flavors. Much better than my last bottle 3 years ago.

Citrus, anise, iodine. Great Chablis, good Raveneau. Good clarity, pure, bright acidity. Drink over the next few years.

Winetasting dinner Raveneau, Rousseau, Liger Belair, DRC (FB (E.S.)): Pale gold colour. I love the typical Raveneau aromas of toast. Aromas fade away pretty fast. Very high acidity
