Someone once told me that Valentini's Trebbiano is the Dagueneau of Trebbiano, and all bottles I've had show this uniqueness. With some age, this is even more the case. Lots of character, complexity, and density here. White herbs, floral stuff, and melon stuff mingled together behind loads of extract. There was also an interesting marshmallow note that came and went over the course of the bottle. Both a serious and fun wine.

Great wine. Starts off with slight oxidative note and sour apple, but with about 30 minutes of air becomes livelier--notes of honey, nutty, melon, with acidity and mid-palate presence. That thicker texture I often find with aged trebbiano. Very versatile on the table.

Valentini Trebbiano di Abruzzo 2001 - It's an extreme pleasure to drink this wine with some age to it. It took some good 30-45 min for the wine to release its full aromas with white fruits, herbs, dried flowers and a resin body. Love it! But I love then young too.

Spectacular juice. As good, if not better than my last bottle 2 years ago. Gorgeous golden yellow hue with rich and elegant bouquet. Perfectly balanced palate, endowed with great focus, finesse and complexity. Monster finish. A wine with soul that is drinking at it’s peak at the moment.

If only every bottle of white wine tasted just like this one. I would have never guessed this came from Italy.
